Best Solar Landscape Lights
Since the dawn of time, man has yearned to harness the awesome power of the sun. Finally, in 2002 solar lights were invented to brighten our landscapes and dim our electricity bills. Now, the time has come for you to purchase these elusive solar power lights. With any prudent consumer comes research. Await no further, your research is here. By the way, yes this was a complete joke but the reviews below aren’t.
First up to bat is the Moonrays Rock Spotlight made by Coleman Cable over at SolarLightStore.com. You buy more of these, you save more. Four rocks will set you back $74.98. That’s pretty darn good, especially considering what wedding rings cost nowadays. Not only are you getting a light that looks like a rock, you are also getting a professional key hider that nobody would ever think to look under in a million years.
Outside of the light with four LEDs (What does LED stand for? Light Emitting Diodes), this thing looks like a real artificial rock. It’s super bright so intruders and trespassers will fear for their stealthness. It’s made out of polyresin so you know this will last for years. $24.98 for individuals and $44.98 for the deuce pack (notice how they string you along with discounts). 2 reviewers loved it. If I bet on football, I’d call this my Solar Light Lock of the Year.
The next outdoor solar lights I looked at were the 3-Tier Metal Solar Lights by Hampton Bay brought to you by HomeDepot. You would not believe the polar reviews on these. Some people absolutely loved them. Others said they worked like a 50 lb cat. Hampton Bay cut back on material costs by making the spikes with plastic rather than metal. These worked well for some people and horrid for too many others for me to recommend them. One of those million dollar body, ten cent mind type of deals.
You want cheap solar powered lights, I got something right up your spray painted alley. The Portfolio Solar Path Landscape Light Kit comes with 12 lights for $36.98. You roll the dice a little bit as one reviewer had them not work, but still you’re getting great value and the product received a solid 3.9 out of 5 stars. The Portfolio Light Kit isn’t the best looking girl at the dance (understatement) and she’s made of plastic (oh wait we’re talking about solar lighting) but if you need some lighting in your backyard and you don’t want to pay a lot of money, put your last Las Vegas chip on these outside solar lights.
